What Is The Bible?
The Bible (consisting of 66 books, 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament) is the inspired word of God.
The Bible is God’s complete revelation to man and is the final authority for Christian doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.
God has preserved His word for every generation, and is available today in the Authorized Version (AV), more commonly known as the King James Version Bible (KJV).
We can see God’s promise to preserve His word throughout scripture.
God’s Promise To Preserve His Word.
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
(Psalms 12:6-7 KJV)
(7) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
(Isaiah 59:21 KJV)
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
(Matthew 24:35 KJV)
Why The King James Bible
With so many Bible translations, you may ask how we know the King James Bible is the word of God.
That’s a great question and one that every Christian should settle for themself through prayer and a deep study of God’s word. Ultimately, trusting in the word of God and a pure Bible is a Spiritual revelation similar to trusting our Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. At some point, we must have faith that God did preserve His word as He promised, and since He commands us to study it and meditate on it daily, it must be available to us today.
With these promises and commands from God, we must ask ourselves, where is the word of God today? Don’t let the Devil and his agents tell you where it isn’t—demand to know where the word of God is today.
We have clear marks pointing the way to the pure Bible (The Word of God), found in the King James Bible. Let’s take a look at some clues:
- Preservation: God promised to preserve His word. We can see God’s promises throughout the Scripture, including in the verses above. Learn more about the preservation of the Bible.
- Usage: God says that His words will never leave the mouths of His children nor their seed forever (Isaiah 59:21 KJV). God’s word is always with us and in use.
- Authority: God puts certain men in charge to carry out His will. Throughout the Bible, He gives these men authority to carry out His will—like Abraham, Moses, King David, John the Baptist, and The Apostle Paul.
- Sound Doctrine: There are certain fundamentals of the Christian faith. The word of God will soundly confirm these essential doctrines and fundamentals of the faith.
- No Errors: God is perfect—therefore, His word is perfect. Modern “Bibles” have many errors and contradictions. For over 400 years, the King James Bible has withstood every attack from the devil and those doing his bidding.
- Blood: Throughout the pages of the Bible and history, the blood of God’s faithful has been shed. Truth can always be found where faithful men and women were willing to lay down their lives for their devotion to God.
- Antioch vs. Alexandria: The are two lines of manuscripts underlie bible translations.
- Antioch manuscripts make up what is called the Textus Receptus. The Textus Receptus strongly upholds the Christian faith. Additionally, Christians were first called Christians at Antioch (Acts 11:26 KJV).
- Alexandria is located in Egypt, and it doesn’t take much Bible study to see that Egypt was not God’s example of purity.
